Advantages

(1)Self-aligning capability

The combination of the arc groove (45°-45°), when installed, can be absorbed internally by the linear guideway by elastic deformation of steel ball. And it can transfer the contact point, even if the mounting surface is somewhat deviated. This allows automatic self-aligning capability, as well as hiah-precision and stable smooth motion.

(2)Interchange capability of product type

Due to strict control of manufacturing,the size of linear guideway can be maintained at a certain level. The sliding block features a retainer design to prevent the steel ball from faling off, so the partial series of precision is interchangeable. Customers can order rails and blocks as needed, or store rails and blocks separately to reduce their inventories.


 

(3)High rigidity in all directions

The four-raw circular groove is matched with the contact angle of 45 degrees such as four rows of steel balls, so that the steel ball reaches the ideal two-point contact structure, which can withstand the load from up/down and left/right directions.lf necessary, it can apply preload to improve rigidity.

 

Specifications

The SM series is divided into two types of linear guideway, the non-interchangeable and interchangeable ones. The two specications are the same in dimensions. The main difference is that the interchangeable blocks and rails can be used interchangeably, which is convenient, but the combination precision cannot achieve the high precision of non-interchangeability.
