Roller Reamer


The Roller Reamer is designed for various reams in drilling operation. Especially it can perform the double functions of centralization and ream when drilling in very abrasive formations. In addition, it can extend the service life by replacing with the new ones when the rollers are worn and become smaller.

Three different types (S, M and H) of rollers are offered:
Type S: For use in soft formations having low compression strength and high drillability, like soft lime and shale. This roller's teeth are hardened, carburized, quenched and tempered for maximum life.
Type M: Use in medium to medium-hard formations with high compressive strength, like dolmite, hard lime, and chert where a crunching action is required. Teeth are carburized and ground to gauge.
Type H: Applicable in hard, extra-hard, abrasive, and semi-abrasive formations, like hard sand, chert, or granite. This button cutter features tungsten carbide compacts which act as teeth and fracture the formation.
