These bearings types are mainly used in automobiles, machine tools, and petroleum machine equipment.
Thrust ball bearings can be divided into single-direction and double-direction thrust ball bearings. Single-direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads in one direction. Double-direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads acting in both directions. Neither single-direction nor double-direction thrust ball bearings can be subjected to radial load.
Angular contact thrust ball bearings can accommodate radial loads in addition to axial loads.
