Foundry Sand

Olive sand is now widely used in steel and cast iron foundries for its high fusion point, low uniform thermal expansion, and its remarkable ability to resist fracture from thermal shock and good ventilation.

Application:
It can be applied to sand mould, water based technique, EPC, and fusible pattern technology and so on.

Features:
Compared with the traditional quartz sand and chromites sand, it has the following advantages:
1. Olivine sand has high refractoriness, which can gives a better and smoother surface and casting precision.
2. The coating has good density and ventilation property, the casting will not adhere to sands in the applied range. 3. It has no free Si02 powder, and no emissions of CO or CO2is produced during the casting, thus putting an end to the damage of anthracosis, it is environmental friendly.
4. Little amount of CaO or Al2O3 is contained in our olivine sand, it will not absorb water or crush easily, so it can be repeatedly used, and cost will be largely reduced.
