Zhengzhou Dengfeng Smelting Materials Co., Ltd. ′ZDSM′ is the China leading manufacturer of calcium aluminate cements, known in China as aluminate cements and high alumina cements, ZDSM is a high and new technological enterprise in Zhengzhou City Henan Province, mainly produces DUCK Brand aluminate cement series and unshaped refractory castables. At present ZDSM owns 5 product lines of rotary kilns, one line for pure calcium aluminate cements, four lines for aluminate cements, 2 product line of Electrical arc furnaces and 1 product line of unshaped refractory castables and 1 product line of paper-plastic composite packing sacks. Annual output is 250, 000 MT for cements and castables and 10, 000, 000 pieces packing sacks. ZDSM has over 600 employees and 126 of them are engineers and technicians. Prof. Zhou ji-nan is an expert at national level, the former head of Refractory Research Institute of China Building Materials Academy, Under her direct guidance the company has brought up many excellent technicians.
Over ten years ZDSM has already developed some high and new technological products, such as superhigh early strength aluminate cement CA50-N, named as a national new product in 1992, high early strength pure calcium aluminate cement CA70-E and CA80-E, listed as a state torch research program and named as a national new product in 1995, high strength aluminate cement CA65-H and CA50-G9 and CA50-fused, CA40-fused. Nowadays these products all have already passed national and provincial technology appraisals, meanwhile, lots of high strength, light weight, high temperature-resistant and self-flowing refractory castables have been developed by ZDSM, and the new products also include active alpha- AL2O3 micropowder, double peaks alpha-AL2O3 micropowder and self-flowing alpha- AL2O3 micropowder, anti-seepage insulation layer materials for aluminium electorlyser, patent product, anti-seepage castable for aluminium electorlyser, ZDSM also supplies calcium aluminate series cleansing agent used in refining ladle to get rid of sulphur and other impurities from steel-liquid, and calcium aluminate powder used as raw material of high efficiency water-purifying agent for water plant.
