Alucoat RM provides exceptional refractory and insulating properties for all materials exposed to molten aluminium and other nonferrous metals. Preferred for porous materials such as fused silica and most castables and for coating metal and nonporous materials.
Casting table applications include troughs, distributor pans, spouts, floats, ladles, fused silica linings, sand and permanent molds, shell molds and cores.
Advantages:
Non-wetting, aluminum does not adhere to the coating, Easy removal of dross and solidified metal without damage to spouts, ladles or linings, Protects metal surfaces from aluminium attack and iron pickup, Reduces chilling, Inexpensive.
