 Taian Character Polymer Co. Ltd has many years' experience of inhalation device technologies, applying its extensive knowledge and expertise in the design, development, supply and commercialization requirements for inhalation devices.
We have worked with a wide range of different devices including Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs), Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs) and nebulizers, including our own technologies and those specified by our partners. We understand the critical parameters for performance, stability and regulatory approval and the key role of the device as part of an integrated project.
    MDI actuator made by our company is suitable for all kinds of CFC and HFA medical aerosol, such as terbutaline sulfate, beclomethasone dipropionate, salbutamol, budesonide, ect, which can fit metered dose valve made by 3M, VALOIS, COSTER, and BESPAK Company etc.
Each actuation release uniform and fine mist particles, and accurate emitted dose. The particle size distribution meet the EP standard, and our manufacturing environment meet the ISO8 standard.

Components of an MDI actuator:
An MDI consists of 5 major components, as shown in the figure below:
Drug
A suspension of microsized powder in a liquefied propellant, or
A solution of the active ingredient in a cosolvent (usually ethanol) mixed with a propellant.

Metering valve
Mouthpiece/actuator
How to use an MDI actuator?
To use the inhaler the patient presses down on the top of the canister, with their thumb supporting the lower portion of the actuator. Actuation of the device releases a single metered dose of the formulation which contains the medication either dissolved or suspended in the propellant. Breakup of the volatile propellant into droplets, followed by rapid evaporation of these droplets, results in the generation of an aerosol consisting of micrometer-sized medication particles that are then inhaled.

Taian Character Polymer Co., Ltd located at the foot of famous mountain Tai, was established in 2006. Our company committed to the production and development of medication-assisted inhaling devices for treatment of COPD and asthma. Our current products include actuators for use with aerosol (MDI), dry powder inhalers(DPI) for use with powder medication, as well as spacer inhalers for use with metered dose inhalers(MDI) that improve the effectiveness of inhaled medication.
We purchased precision injection molding equipment from Taiwan, adopting manipulator to improve production efficiency. We have engineering and technology center and medical mould department to meet customers' 3D design requirement, molding development and production, as well as mold tending.
We have developed MDI, DPI and other related products(with 12 patent certificates) independently. Raw materials such as medical Polycarbonate, medical silicone rubber, medical polypropylene, and medical polyethylene are purchased from Bayer, Lyondell Basell and LG. We always do sample test before put them into use. We carry out operating procedures and management procedures strictly during production to ensure each product meet quality standards.
