The MS20 is a high precision and high sensitivity of soil moisture & temperature sensors. By measuring the dielectric constant of the soil, it shows stable real moisture content directly. The MS20 can measure the volume of soil moisture. The FDR soil moisture measurement method is in line with present international standards. Apply to the soil moisture monitoring, scientific experiment, water-saving irrigation, greenhouse vegetables, flowers, grass, fast measure, plant cultivation, greenhouse control, precision agriculture and the other measurement of water, weather or particulate matter content.

4.3 Installation GuideQuick measurement: Select measurement location. Avoid the rocks and ensure that the probe will not impact the hard objects like rocks. Cut open the surface soil according to the required depth. Keep tightness degree of the original soil below the sensor.Clench the senser and insert it into soil vertically. Ensure it's closed to the soil. Do not shake.Average of repeated measurement near the point is suggested.
Long-term measurement: Dig a hole (diameter>20cm, depth as needed) vertically. Insert the sensor probe into the hole wall at a suitable depth horizontally. Fill the hole and compact the soil. Ensure the senser is closed to the soil.
After a while, long-term measurement and record will be available which can be last for days, months or even longer.
If when the hard surface measurements, should first drilling the hole(pore size should be less than the probe diameter), then inserted into the soil , compact the soil and then measure; Sensor should prevent violent vibration and impact, cannot receive more blows.5 The output conversion for soil moisture & temperature
