Electrical Cable Halogen Acid Gas pH Conductivity Test Apparatus by IEC 60754-1&2

Introduction:
This halogen acid gas content tester is used to test the acidity of the gas that released during combustion from cable or optical cable components material; The equipment is designed and produced on the basis IEC 60754.

The cable material is processed by prius tube furnace, and then the pH value and conductivity of the gas that generated in combustion process are measured,finnally the cable material of acidic,as well as concentration of halogen acid gas volume, PH, conductivity, etc, can be determined.

• IEC 60754-1 Ed. 2.0 b:2011:specifies the apparatus and procedurefor the determination of the amount of halogen acid gas, other than hydrofluoric acid, evolved during thecombustion of compounds based on halogenated polymersand compounds containing halogenated additives takenfrom electric or optical fibre cable constructions
• IEC 60754-2 Ed. 1.0 b:2011:specifies the apparatus and procedure for thedetermination of the potential corrosivity of gases evolved during thecombustion of materials taken from electric or optical fibre cable constructionsby measuring the acidity (pH) and conductivity of an aqueous solution resultingfrom the gases evolved during the combustion.
