Floating breakwater
The breakwater is composed of a single polygonal buoy, made of new HDPE and filled with high-strength concrete counterweights. Its unique polygon shape is not only beneficial to attenuation of waves, but also greatly enhances the strength of the buoy. HDPE is manufactured with an anti-uv agent that allows the product to last more than 20 years in harsh Marine environments and direct sunlight.
The specification of a single buoy is 90*90*30cm and the weight is 80kg/ piece. The buoy can also be added according to the actual needs of different fillings, such as water, fine sand or foam to adjust its buoyancy and endurance. A variety of colors are available, such as white, black or orange.
The connection method
The buoy is made of stainless steel or galvanized steel cable with a diameter of 25mm, and EPDM rubber hose with a diameter of 45mm is used to avoid buoy wear. Steel cables may run through the entire breakwater or be connected by several sections. Cable specification, quantity, breakwater freeboard height and anchorage system all affect the wave attenuation effect of breakwater. If used for water signs or fences, breakwaters must be rigidly connected with stainless steel or galvanized steel.
