Also names Polynaphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde sodium salts condensates, SNF, PNS, FDN. It is brown color, flow-like dry powder.
Naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde sodium salts(SNF, PNS, FDN) is used as high range water reducer and superplasticizer, Powder normally be dissolved into water solution about 40%(40%SNF+60%water) and then be formulated with other admixtures to become naphthalene bases high range water reducer and superplasticizer.

Use
It is often used as high range water reducer and superplastizier,

Sed as a super plasticizer in the production of free flowing concrete for use in:
Slabs and foundations
Walls, columns and piers.
Slender components with densely packed reinforcement.
Textured surface finishes.

Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde condensates sodium salts is also used as a water-reducing agent leading to high early strength concrete for use in:
Pre-cast concrete elements
Pre-stressed concrete
Bridges and cantilever structures
Areas of concrete

Advantages
As a Superplasticizer:
Workability is greatly improved. Increased placeability in slender components with packed reinforcement.

As a Water reducer:
Up to 20% reduction of water will produce 40% increase in 28 days compressive strength.

Method of use
Normally Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde condensates sodium salts is dissolved into 40% solution. To get a certain feature concrete, it also be formulated with ingredients to become naphthalene based superplasticizer/water reducer.
