Nice Porcelain Teapot Set

A whole set of the porcelain tea party set including ne teapot, one justice cup and six tea cup, used for making tea. They are all made of blue and white rice pattern porcelain. Rice pattern porcelain, also called linglong porcelain. Rice pattern porcelain was first developed during the Yongle reign (1403-1424 AD) in the Ming Dynasty. This bright, transparent and elegant porcelain appeals to people. In the Qing Dynasty, Jingdezhen potters skillfully combined blue and white decoration with rice pattern, thus, it becomes a lovely and a typical variety of four major Jingdezhen porcelain wares.

The porcelain tea set whole body is decorated with hand painted blue and white underglaze red pulm. The plum blossom is painted with underglaze red technology. Plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemums are konwn as four gentlemen, they are always liked by refined scholars in past dynasties. In traditoinal culture, they are cultural symbols of personality and conduct, and respectively they represent four qualities: Brave, secluded, solid and simplicity. Plum blossom, standing in cold and facing the snow, shows an unyielding character. Orchid, secluded in deserted valley, indulges in self-admiration. Bamboo, whirling in the wind and standing straight, enjoys an unrestrained life. Chrysanthemums, defying the frost independently, will not serve the hour. Their common features of slef-discipline, not seeking fame, for thousands of years become a symbol of Chinese image thought characteristics in feeling objects, and is also ideal personality of traditional Chinese scholar-bureaucrats' lifelong pursuit.
