Valve-controlled seal battery is a product mainly popularized by National science commission, national scaled project during the Eighth Five-year Plan Period, and also national toch project. It has the following specific advantages:
Sealed structure: special binding and sealing techniques preserve the battery's electrolyte form leaking. It can work safely and effectively in cases of being put upright or horizontally.
Adsorption of Electrolyte: special glass fibre partition plate is used to adsorb the electrolyte, and no free electrolyte is left in the battery.
Re-compostion of Gas: advanced techniques of cathode adsorption is used so as to recompose efficiently the gas produced in the battery with a rate of over 99%.
Low-pressure Exhaust system: unidirectional valve is used to guarantee that the battery will close automatically and effectively, and send out extra gas in case the pressure in battery is beyond normal value.
Avoid Maintenance: in its normal operation. the battery needs no maintenance of adding water, and won' t pollute the environment. It has superior advantage of free maintenance.
Long life and Low-rate Self-discharging: Poly alloy plate of lead and calcium is used. It has advantages of high quality and long life in floating and cycles services. GFM battery is expected to have a life-span of 20 years with a discharging capacity of cess than 4% at indoor temperature.
