Jiapu Textile Industry

Located in Changxing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, Jiapu Town is famous for its textile industry and has been considered as the birthplace of that of Changxing County. The textile industry in Jiapu Town originated in the early 1980s and the output accounted for more than 50% of the Changxing County.
There are nearly 300 enterprises and 1,957 individual businesses engaged in the textile industry, and almost 50,000 textile equipments such as water jet looms, warp knitting machines, jet looms, DTY machines, great circle machines, digital printing machines and so on in Jiapu Town. What’s more, Jiapu Town has complete facilities for chemical fiber processing industry, weaving industry and printing and dyeing industry.
The products from Jiapu Town cover more than 50 varieties, such as brushed fabric, military fabric, polyester pongee, umbrella silk, lining fabric, mixed cotton, five-heddle satin, shower curtain cloth, black-out cloth, bag cloth, etc. Currently, Jiapu Town has become one of the main supplying places of home textile fabrics, garments accessories and curtain fabrics in China and can produce nearly 3 billion meters of various fabrics, 600,000 tons of chemical fibers, and 3 billion meters of dyeing cloths annually.
At present, there are 95 textile enterprises and 11 dyeing and printing enterprises in Jiapu Town, with total annual product sales revenue of more than 20 million yuan respectively. In 2019, the industrial output value of the textile industry in Jiapu Town exceeded 9 billion yuan.
