Art of Black Pottery - originating more than 4,000 years ago in middle- and downstream reaches of Yellow River in the later period of Neolithic Age. It's a blend of shape, painting and calligraphy and carving, etc., reflecting historic moments as well as daily life with narrative and pictorial forms in a romantic or concrete style and representing the nature of amazingly diligent, wise and creative Chinese people.
Because of the complicated technique and process, Black Pottery technique was lost for 3000 years. On April 1928, the archeologists excavated some black potteries from Longshan (a small town in Shandong, China), from then on, after 61 years' research and test, we finally recover this technique in 1989, this is a traditional complicated technique and any modern high-tech can not do this.
Our Black Pottery are made from the special clay deposited at the lower reaches of the Yellow River. There are over 10 processes involved to make a pottery, all of which are 100% handmade. The whole process will take around one month and some of them will take several months.
Our Black Pottery products are vigorous in carving, classical and graceful in design. They look glistening black. When under different light and from different angles, their color change into black, purple, grey and blue, sparkling. A light knock will produce a pleasant sound. The product has pronounced national characteristics.

In 1989, we successfully recovered the production of Black Pottery which is an exponent of Longshan Culture originating more than 4000 years ago and the techniques were lost for 3000 years. During the 17 years afterwards, we mainly sold our products domestically as gifts and collections. On July 03, 2007, we decided to explore the overseas market and hence BITOP TRADING CO LTD was set up with a registered capital of RMB1 million and was located in Qingdao, China.
