In general, concentration of materials is divided into 3 stages: Solid particle sediment, transition section and compression section; Deep-cone thickener is a high-rate thickener aiming at obtaining high underflow concentration; Deep-cone thickener has the function of a stirring device with big cone angle, high compression height and special design when entering the compression stage from concentration, the concentration is fairly easy to fulfill from the sediment of solid particle to water, squeezed out from concentrated-phase layer so as to obtain big capacity and high-concentration underflow; However, it is difficult to make the device large-scale due to big cone angle. For a common thickener, concentrated-phase layer is a homogeneous system. It is an extremely difficult and long process to squeeze water from concentrated-phase layer only by pressure. Even though the sediment velocity can be improved by adoption of flocculation concentration, the processing capacity of thickener can not be high. Through comparing the working characteristics of the above two kinds of thickener, break the balance status in the concentrated-phase layer on basis of a common thickener and by fixing a specially designed agitation device in the concentrated-phase layer, and medium and low pressure zones can be formed for the concentrated-phase layer. These low pressure zones become the channel of water in the concentrated-phase layer. The existence of this channel greatly speeds up the compression process of the thickener; It is right under the new thickening mechanism that GNYZ high-rate and high-pressure thickener has been developed. This kind of thickener has combined the advantages of high-rate thickener's large processing capacity and deep-cone thickener's high underflow concentration; The maximum underflow concentration of GNYZ high-rate and high-pressure thickener can reach up to 70%, an increase of 20~50% than conventional thickener, with processing capacity 4~10times higher than conventional thickener.
The technical process of GNYZ high-rate and high-pressure thickener is fundamentally similar to GNZ high-rate thickener, but GNYZ high-rate and high-pressure thickener can get higher underflow concentration.
Main features:
(1)a specially designed agitation device has a large cone angle with a high compression design, which will help break the balance between the concentrated-phase layers, forming low pressure zones in the concentrated- phase layer, and further water channels in the concentrated-phase layer, so that the thickener in the compression process is greatly accelerated, with concentration efficiency 4~10 times higher than that of a common thickener and the maximum underflow concentration can reach above 70%.
(2)The device has a stable running, simple operation and a low energy-consumption for the processing capacity per unit.
(3)Modular design is adopted, and different concentration processes (natural concentration, flocculation concentration, inclined board concentration, etc. )can be applied according to user's requirements; Automatic, manual or remote centralized control can be available.

Our new product, the high-efficiency thickener series based on the thickening technique of Sunny Group, is a combination of hydraulic- or electric-driven planetary gear box and pinion gearing, automatic rake lifting, efficient tangential feeding and automatic feed thinning. The control, defoaming and arrangement of our high-efficiency thickeners represent the world′s highest level. In terms of the size of the thickeners, the diameter is as much as 85m for the largest central drive thickeners and up to 100m for the peripheral drive thickeners. Our newly developed thickener, advantageous over its peers for the considerably improved thickening efficiency, greater processing capacity and high bottom flow concentration, is now widely used for the dehydration of metallic and nonmetallic ores and the solid-liquid separation of pulps involved in metallurgy, coal, chemical, tailing processing and environmental applications.
