Double Puller

A puller system utilizing two puller heads operating on a common rail with a cutting saw on the first puller head.
The two head pulling concept offers several advantages over the conventional fixed cut puller operation:
1)Utilizing a saw mounted on the puller head closest to the press, the puller cuts the profiles at the stop (or die) mark, which reduces the quantity of scrap per profile.
2)The double head puller system is not dependent on the dead cycle of the press to relocate in anticipation of the next push cycle.
3)Utilizing PLC control, the puller is supplied with eight different operational programs for varying extrusion practices.
4)The double puller concept allows the puller heads to operate at slower traverse speeds. The cycle time of the press is not directly affected by the traverse speeds of the puller heads.
5)The control system offers continuously variable pulling tension.
6)As a package, the double headed puller provides a higher production capacity, while simultaneously reducing scrap.
7)An "Amcol" style saw blade lube system is provided to improve saw performance on heavier shapes.
