Ikea Botswana was registered in November 1983 as a manufacturer of household and cane furniture. After the take-over by the present directors, some ten years ago, Ikea Botswana has concentrated on office, library and specialised / designer furniture.

Since the take-over Ikea Botswana has grown from small cottage industry to a fully fledged manufacturer. It has over 800m2 of manufacturing unit with modern machine tools. It has an efficient staff compliment of over 20 skilled and semi-skilled personal with an annual turn-over of over two million Pula.
