Hunan Space Satellite Communication Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to simple as: SC Company), incorporated integration restructuring and registered in June 1998 upon Hunan Pearl River instrument factory(the owned No. 7861 factory), with continuation of No. 7861 factory′s equipments, plants, staff and market resources and technologies in satellite applications antenna servo feed and electronic products research and operation, is a military-civillian state-owned enterprises directly under the Bureau of the China Aerospace Group 068 base. Its former, No. 7861 factory, was the third-line radar research institution of the old seventh Ministry of Machine-Building Industry, and devoted to the development of satellite communication TV broad-casting industry since the mission from the State Council in 1985 to donate the first batch of Satellite TV Earth Station to the "Old Revolutionary Bases, Minority, Frontier and Barren Areas". Through continuous project development, technological transformation and mechanism reform over 20 years, SC company has grown into an Industrialization base of satellite communications TV broadcasting equipment in the space system. The products satellite communications antenna, DVB-S/C/T set-top box, broadband CATV network equipment, GPS, and over 300 kinds of specification models, as well as complete set of satellite applications equipment. It is the sentinel production and Network certified professional manufacturer of National satellite TV antenna and digital satellite TV receivers. It is also the sky-net equipments short-listed enterprise and major supplier for the modern distance education project for nationwide rural Party members and cadres/elementary and high schools, and for the "Extending Broad-casting Coverage to Every Villiage"project.
