Helios' GSM Frequency Shifting Repeater is defined as a full duplex RF amplifier intended to be used in cellular mobile telephone systems to extend the coverage area of a base station while not significantly degrading the performance of GSM 900 systems, or adversely interfering with adjacent GSM900 systems. It is a high-tech, high efficiency service system that able to improve communication quality at low cost.
It consists of Donor Unit and Remote Units. Donor Unit shall receive signals from a GSM900MHz Donor base station (890-915MHz), and shift the signals to DCS 1800MHz band (1805-1880MHz), then amplify and retransmit, and signals from Remote Units in the reverse directions (1805-1880MHz) will be amplified and revert to the GSM900 band. Remote Unit is the same.
