Phase-out Plan of HCFC in China
From 2013, Freeze HCFC production and consumption to the average amount of year 2009 and 2010 and set it as a Base Amount;
By 2015, reduce 10% of the Base Amount;
By 2020, reduce 35% of the Base Amount;
By 2025, reduce 67.5% of the Base Amount;
By 2030, fully stop use of HCFCs. 

Global HCFCs Substitution Situation

1. European Union banned HCFCs in 2002 and HFCs were banned in 2013 too. The European Union tends to use CO2 System, namely CO2 + Alcohols + Aliphatic Hydrocarbons.
2. Japan forbid use of HCFC in XPS production in 2004 and now they are using Isobutane as Blowing Agent. With aid of Water and some other assistant Blowing Agent, the final XPS bears special structure, which decreases Thermal Conductivity and improves fire behavior.

3. North America uses HFC blends as the Blowing Agent and one other manufacturer uses CO2 + Aliphatic + Water.

People prefer Single Screw XPS Production Line at its early stage, as Single Screw is easy to operate, maintain and most importantly, the model meets customers budget.
Gradually after customers gain bigger market share, they tend to buy larger machine, which increases output and decreases unit production cost. Customers prefer producing  the same specification at large volume, as changing between thickness will incur big waste.
On the other hand, there is always demand on high end XPS product, in this case Twin Screw XPS Production Line is a better choice.


Low Density XPS Extrusion Line
The production cost of Styrofoam Insulation Board is mainly determined by how much materials are used in one cubic meter. Hence every Styrofoam Plant makes efforts to bring down Density to save money.
Styrofoam Insulation Board made by HCFC usually bears a density of 30-55Kg/m3 and when CO2 is applied, the density tends to be higher of above 35Kg/m3.
Experiments tell that Isobutane / LPG has a tendency to be more thoroughly mixed with Polystyrene melts. Due to its high solubility and with aid of small percentage of water, final Styrofoam density could be decreased to 28Kg/M3.
