Zhengzhou Kaiyang Kiln Product Co., Ltd is specialized in Silicon Carbide (SiC) saggers production. And our SiC saggers have been widely used as reaction containers in the production of Direct-reduced Iron (DRI, a. K. A Sponge Iron) via tunnel kiln method.
Compared to the conventional clay saggers used in DRI production, SiC saggers have the following advantages:
Clay saggers only have a life cycle of around 3 times and our SiC saggers can last more than 100 times;
SiC saggers conduct heat much better than Clay ones, thus reducing the reduction time in DRI production and energy consumption as well;
SiC Saggers can be made in much bigger diameter than clay ones, thus increase the per unit volume to avoid space waste;
SiC sagger scrap (when the life cycle is reached) can be sold to steel plant as deoxidizer and clay sagger scrap has no value and the disposal of which costs money as well;
The per time use cost of SiC saggers is much lower than clay saggers, additionally, transportation and labor cost is saved due to the longer life cycle of SiC saggers.
