Hong Kong, May 2007: Beijing will soon have a new landmark illuminating its skyline. At the end of the year, Hyatt will launch Park Hyatt Beijing in the heart of the capital′s Central Business District, becoming the tallest skyscraper on famous Chang′an Avenue and the first Park Hyatt hotel in China.

Park Hyatt is the most exclusive of the Hyatt brands, catering to elite, discerning travellers seeking luxury in the world′s most prime locations. Park Hyatt Beijing will join the likes of Park Hyatt Tokyo, immortalised in the Oscar-winning film Lost in Translation. And also Park Hyatt Sydney on the banks of Sydney Harbour, recently voted among the World′s Best Hotels by Travel + Leisure magazine.

Park Hyatt Beijing will be the first Park Hyatt hotel in China, with the second, the Park Hyatt Shanghai opening in July 2008. Park Hyatt is the most exclusive brand among Hyatt′s 735 hotels and resorts. There are currently 24 Park Hyatt hotels, which can be found on prime real estate in fashionable cities such as Paris, Milan, Sydney, Tokyo and Buenos Aires. An additional six properties are in development.

Park Hyatt Beijing will be the eighth Hyatt hotel to open in mainland China, following Grand Hyatt Beijing, Hyatt Regency Dongguan, Hyatt Regency Hangzhou, Grand Hyatt Shanghai, Hyatt Regency Tianjin, Hyatt Regency Xian and Hyatt on the Bund, which opens in July 2007. Twelve more Hyatt hotels are scheduled to open in China in the next few years.
