Design:
HIFLOW spherical bearing is a structural device, designed with the involvement of Agostino Mario, former chairman of European Structure Bearing Standard Committee, following European advanced design ideas. HIFLOW not only has some advantages of pot bearings, such as high vertical loads, high horizontal movement, but also has large angle rotation, good durability and other characteristics. Compared with the pot bearing, the spherical bearing has the following advantages:
1.     The rotation of HIFLOW is achieved by the slide of UHMWPE. The rotational torque is small, and it's only related to bearing spherical radius and the friction coefficient of UHMWPE, it has nothing to do with bearing angle, so HIFLOW is especially suitable for large angle requirements.
2.    HIFLOW has the same rotation peormance in any direction, suitable for wide bridges and curved bridges.
3. As the bearing doesn't use rubber to bear pressure, there is no consideration of rubber aging problems, which is especially suitable for low temperature regions.
4. Stress is transferred by spherical cap. The mechanical effect on concrete is homogeneous.
The bearing can be installed in bridges, buildings, and any civil engineering structures. such as railway bridges and buildings in seismic areas.

Technical performance:
The main technical performance of HIFLOW spherical bearing is as follows: 
Vertical loads: 0~1 SOOOOKN, we can provide much higher vertical loads for customers' requirements; 
Horizontal loads: Design horizontal loads of all orientations of GD bearing, design horizontal loads of transverse bridge orientation of ZX bearing and design horizontal loads of longitudinal bridge orientation of HX bearing are shown as below: 
15% of design vertical load--- the max acceleration of earthquake Ag:,;.0.1g; 
30% of design vertical load--- the max acceleration of earthquake 0.1g:,;.Ag:,;.0.2g; 
Horizontal displacement: ±100 or ±150mm; 
Applicable temperature: Normal temperature type bearing: suitable for -25.C~+60.C;
Low temperature type bearing: suitable for -40.C~+60.C;
Vertical rotation Angle:  005rad, 
Friction coefficient: 0.012, 
They allow constant height adjustment; 
HIFLOW can resist dynamic loads and can be resistant to fatigue effects;
IFLOW can be provided with load cell and displacement transducers. 

Structure:
HIFLOW spherical bearings mainly consist of an upper steel plate, a lower pot, an UHMWPE, a stainless steel plate, a guided structure and other components. The main structure consists of the steel plate and the well-matching spherical UHMWPE. The processing precision of spherical bearings and sliding material quality directly affect the overall performance of the spherical bearing. 

Sliding material:
The material of wear-resistent plate of HIFLOW spherical bearing can be PTFE, UHMWPE or HSM. Among them, HSM is an innovative sliding material. Using HSM instead of the traditional PTFE has the following advantages: 
(1)   HSM material has good wear resistance.which is five times of PTFE;
(2)  The bearings using HSM have a wide range of applicable temperature, which is from -50ºC   to +100ºC,while the range of PTFE is from -35ºC  to 48 100ºC. The bearing can bear a high temperature of 100ºC  for a long time and  be able to work in even higher temperature for a short time;
(3)  Compressive strength is more than twice of Teflon, so we can decrease the size of the product.

Materials: All the materials conform to the requirements of TB/T3320-2013 and GB/T17955-2009
Corrosion Prevention: We can protect spherical bearings from corrosion by paint, complex alloy permeation (include internal surfaces), zinc coating and chroming. For bearing plate, we use paint to protect exposure steel which conform to TB/T1527-2011. For the parts having relative movemens, we use chroming. For bolts, we use complex alloy permeation. Other corrosion prevention systems can be applied according to the design specification.
