ERAS is also a new board developed by FHC, which enables the subscribers in PBX system to enter Internet through Intranet within the company. It can be plugged into two slots in the cabinet.
ERAS is located between Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and IP network, which can make dialing users access to LAN. ERAS is entirely based on 20-20® Platform. ERAS constructs local ISP together with related peripheral devices of WWW server, AAA server, DNS server, router and LAN. Meanwhile, ERAS provides network-enhanced services such as call back and call list etc.
Each ERAS unit supports 30 subscribers. It will realize seamless interface with PSTN and interconnect with LAN through 10/100M network interface in the front of the ERAS board.
One application of ERAS is mobile office. For example, a staff in a company has a business trip to another place. However, he or she finds that it is very urgent to browse some documents in his own computer in the headquarter. Now, if he can find a phone in PSTN network and access the Internet through modem, he can visit his computer through ERAS and copy the important documents into his Laptop.
