Company Background
Teralux, with more than 20years leading in high speed/high frequency, EMC, RFI, heat dissipation, and mechanical research, design and manufacturing technologies. We are committed to provide the highest quality and reliability of products and services to our customers.
Teralux focuses on the market driven by the cloud computing with higher bandwidth application requirements. With more than 20years expertise in this market, Teralux designs and develops high speed transmission technologies for the datacenters, server clusters, network switches, telecom switches and many other high performance embedded communication systems which require high speed data transmission and aggregation, backplane communication, special protocol data transmission and other high density and high bandwidth applications.
The main application market of the HPC and supercomputing will continue the use of the InfiniBand protocol. The high speed transmission solutions including AOC (Active Optical Cable) and DAC (Direct Attach Cable) are heavily used in the datacenter layer 3 Ethernet switches in the past few years. The connection between the long haul dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) in telecom applications and routers also has started to grow.
Ethernet is focused on high speed transmission technologies. While the installation keeps bothering in the crowded short distance routing environment, datacenter managers like the lower cost small form factor pluggable solution which significantly saves the operation cost of both cleaning and repair. The new top rack and vertical type switches are installed 40G QSFP port, therefore the new servers can expand the data flow of the switch systems more than 10 times. QSFP AOCs and parallel optical transceivers will be very popular.
AOCs are used in 10-50 meters distance market with low price as the weapon. Driven by the internet giants, the AOCs start cutting in the distance under 10 meters. The copper DACS still dominate server uplink within 5-7 meters distance. The new application is active cable 6 meters which must guarantee rate in 4X28G; And the 4X28G WDM AOCs with silicon photonic technology combined with the 1550nm single mode fiber. 55% of link distance in datacenters is less than 55 meters. 10G copper passive cable will not be longer than 7 meters; 14G will not be longer than 5 meters. A large demand for 28G active direct-attach copper cable with various lengths is coming very soon.
To fulfill the emerging demand of the DAC (Direct Attach Cable) and AOC (Active Optical Cable), Teralux develops the world first class automation production technologies to meet the long term interoperability, quality and reliability requirements.
