The Chinese Academy of Atomic Energy is one of the most important R&D bases for accelerators in China. After years of development, the Academy has formed a comprehensive research foundation focusing on reactor and accelerator disciplines and simultaneously developing eight disciplines. It has 70 years of military manufacturing technology for accelerators, and has developed and produced the largest number and most complete varieties of accelerators in China. So far, it still maintains the technical advantages in the field of high current accelerator, and is an important accelerator research and development base in the field of national defense science, technology and industry. We have successfully developed a number of high current accelerator equipment, including 14MeV high current short pulse electron linear accelerator, 2MeV-9MeV full series non-destructive testing electron linear accelerator, 4MeV/6MeV dual energy linear accelerator, 2MeV self shielded electron linear accelerator, 350kV high power high-voltage accelerator, 10MeV/15-20kW high power high current linear accelerator, covering various types of low-energy, medium energy and high-energy accelerators required in the application field of the national defense industry, More than ten kinds of linear accelerators with different technical specifications have been successfully developed, 8 of which are the first in China. Some projects have reached the international advanced level, and have formed good social and economic benefits. Especially in the research and development of high-energy and high-power electron irradiation accelerators, the first high-energy electron irradiation accelerator with multiple energy ranges in China has been successfully developed, which is at the leading level in the domestic industrial product series development and application field of high-energy electron irradiation accelerators. In December 2007, the first 10MeV/20kW high-energy high-power electron irradiation accelerator in China was successfully developed and won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and CNNC. It is the "National Irradiation Accelerator Industrialization Demonstration Center" approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It has the R&D, production and manufacturing capacity of accelerator core technology and components.
During the "13th Five Year Plan" period, the Institute opened the key path for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, implemented the licensing of six scientific and technological achievements, and fulfilled the incentive of two scientific and technological teams. High energy irradiation accelerator is a representative technology in the field of nuclear technology application, and also one of the core technologies of the Institute of Atomic Energy and even the Group Company. In 2019, the Institute of Atomic Energy, together with Shandong Henghui Group and other enterprises, registered and established Yuanke Henghui Technology Co., Ltd. On December 30, 2019, committed to research, development, production and sales of irradiation accelerators and core components, research, service and promotion of irradiation processes, investment, construction, operation and maintenance of irradiation stations, as well as research on irradiation processes and investment and operation of irradiation stations, Build a R&D, production and manufacturing base and an irradiation demonstration base for irradiation accelerators and core components, and build a domestic supplier of irradiation accelerators and an important platform to undertake the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of the IAEA.
