Design features

 Enhanced ptfe flat gasket, the temperature up to 300ºc (long time seal) / 350ºc (short time seal).

 The most commonly used seal form on chemn reactors and pressure vessels is flat gasket made of reinforced PTFE.

 The Black PTFE gasket has better resistance to high temperatures and lower creep properties than conventional white PTFE gasket. 

 Another important advantage of ptfe gasket is its general corrosive resistance. On reactor body and lid, the precision-machined Groove seal can effectively prevent failure sealing caused by cold flow of ptfe at high temperatures.

 In this seal structure, PTFE gasket is stored in the groove of reactor cover, and the seal tongue completely confines the gasket inside of the groove, Leaving a 0.05 mm wide or narrower gap.

 With this design, a long-term sealing at 300ºc and a short-term sealing at 350ºc can be achieved. PTFE flat gasket requires a certain preload pressure to achieve reliable sealing.For chemn reactor, the preload pressure is generated by tightening the compression bolts on clamp.

 For typical 50-250ml reactor, only requires 20-30N.M tighten torque can achieve reliable sealing, the
torque is so small that can be easily operated by a female.

 It should be noted that an adaptation process is necessary after a new gasket replaced, because gasket need to fit the groove and v seal reinforcement (also known as the waterline) through deformation under a certain temperature and pressure.

 The step is:
1. Inject about 1/3 of the volume of water into reactor.
2. Use a slightly larger torque than usual to fasten the clamp.
3. Heated the reactor up to 200 ºc and keep the temperature for more than 1h.
4. The gasket can be normally used when it is cooled.

 Usually the enhanced ptfe gasket can work for six months to one year.When loosed seal, flaky peeling on the surface, or serious flash is been found, user need to replace a new gasket.


After sales and spare parts

Kemi has a professional after sales technical team, who can pro vide comprehensive quality assurance and after sales service.The guarantee period is one year for general typ e of high pressure reactor and vessel, three years for key components (reactor body, reactor cover, clamp, flange, vessel body), six months for hydrothermal reactor, one year for customized fluid system and separation equipment p roduct.For non-human caused damage happened within guarantee period, kemi or our distributors would provide maintenance services and bear the material, freight cost.
A number of spare parts and tools will be packed together with every branded reactor, like high pressure inflatable tubing, main gasket, seal tape, ptfe lining, belts, fuses, and wrenches, that are enough for normal use and maintenance for one year.You can also order all kinds of spare parts, consumables and tools at any time.

Note:
1.The warranty time is three months for wearing parts such as seals, gaskets, high pressure reactor lining and hydrothermal synthesis reactor lining.
2.The warranty period is counted from the date when products are received by buyers.
3.The products should be installed and operated in strictly accordance with the written instructions provided by kemi, and should not be used out of design limitation.The products should not be modified by any other institutions except kemi.
4.It is user's responsibility to install the equipment in a safe environment and to train all the operating personnel about safety, operation and maintenance.
