Meanwhile, it provided handbag processing for the Hong Kong firms after being the transferee of the Yong Yuan Handbag Factory in Shawan, Shenzhen. On October 25, 1989, the company has designed the first mobile phone case. On October 6, 1990, it has begun to launch mass production of leather phone case. It is interesting to note that "Kettle" was wildly used in Hong Kong before the word "Mobile phone" appeared. But mobile phone has not been introduced to China at that time, of course. So even a general beeper can be luxury for it costed RMB 6, 000 which was equaled to a year′s salary of an average staff.

The company expanded its production on a large scale by not only exporting the phone case, but also established its own brand "Leader" for domestic sales. Those mobile phone cases have been sold world wild going along with the mobile phones of the four brands. The annual production was at a peak when it came out to be 70 million.
