*1. Physical and chemical properties:
1.1 Molecular formula: BN
1.2 Molecular weight: 24.81 (on 1979 international atom weight)
1.3 Melting point: 3000ºC
1.4 Mohs′ hardness: 1-2.
1.5 Density: 2.29 g/cm3
1.6 Solubility: Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in hot acid.
1.7 Properties: Hexagonal boron nitride-H type has good electrical insulation, thermal conductivity, chemical corrosion resistance and lubricity, and has strong neutron absorption capacity, almost all organic solvents and corrosive chemicals. They are relatively stable; they are chemically inert to almost all molten metals. In the air below 1000 °C, the various physicochemical properties remain basically the same; the temperature is stable at 3000 °C in nitrogen or argon. The hexagonal boron nitride-H powder is hot-pressed and sintered into a white block, which is easy to machine and can withstand temperatures up to 2000 °C.
*3. Application: H-BN-A and H-BN-B have moderate particle size and crystallinity, which show excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance. They have small initial particle size and greater agglomerated particle size. They are especially used as filler in the demoulding agent for casting and ejecting forming because of their spherical shape. The qualities of the two products are almost the same as that of import products. They can also be used as the raw materials to manufactured composite ceramic and heat pressing products of boron nitride, additive in lubricating coating, etc.
H-BN-C and H-BN-D have great particle size and crystallinity. The qualities of the two products are almost the same as that of import products. The properties of the high-crystallinity hexagonal boron nitride, such as, thermal conductivity, electric insulation property, lubrication performance, high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance of molten meals, are excellent. They can be used as the additives of PA and PE polymer materials, hot interface materials, to increase the thermal conductivity. They can also be used as the additives of make-up cosmetics, high-grade lubrication oil and demoulding agent for optical glass.
*4. Safety instructions: Physically inert, but boron nitride powder is toxic by ingestion, inhalation, eye and skin contact, which may cause skin, respiratory system, liver, kidney and the circulatory system damage. Be handled with rubber gloves, a respirator and eye protection.
*5 Packing: Aluminum foil bag lined with plastic bag, net weight 1kg per bag.
*6. Storage: Stored in a cool and ventilated place. Keep sealed. The shelf life is 12 months after manufactured date. It is still available if the retest results of the properties are qualified after expired date.
*7. Transportation: Avoid water, sun-baked and violent collision .Do not transport with strong oxidizers.
