Company Introduction:
With more than 40 years of experience, South Asia Textile (Holding) Ltd. has successfully established a world-renowned brand in knitwear-manufacturing. During the recent phase of rapid development, the Company has advanced into a multi-faceted enterprise in Hong Kong comprising of knitwear, garment, knitting machinery and property development businesses.
In 1963 when the Company was just founded, it was a factory only focusing on the production of high quality knitwear. Under the dedicated efforts of the management team, South Asia Holding has been enjoying steady growth over the years. In the early 1980′s, the Company founded Nan Feng Knitting Factory in Kwan Qiao Town, Nan An City of Fujian Province and pioneered as the forerunner of foreign investors in Fujian.
During the 1990′s, the Company achieved exponential growth. With the establishment of Nan Sing Machinery Ltd. In 1991 and Quan Zhou City representative office in 1992, it marked the beginning of change in business strategies. With the set up of South Asia Holding (Fujian) Ltd. In 1995, the Company has become more focused in further developing its investment portfolio in China.
Up till now, the Company owns more than 40 different enterprises with a total investment of more than HK$3 billion. The wide scope of business includes knitting textile, garment manufacturing, bleaching and dyeing, machinery production, car repair, logistics and property development. The Company now employs over 25, 000 staff, with an average yearly production of 40 million items of knitwear and 10 million garments. These products are exported and sold in the U. S., Japan and Europe, and valued at over HK$3.5 billion.
Under the strategy of diversified investment, property development has emerged to be another core business of the Company. Its renowned development projects in Quan Zhou City include the residential villa "Blossom Garden", "Nan Feng New Town" apartments, "Nan Jian Industrial Estate" as well as "Lotus Plaza" apartments in Xiamen City, all have set new standards and milestones in the local real estate market. Over the past decade, the Company has become a property development leader with a total development and construction area of over 800, 000 square metres and yearly revenues of over HK$1 billion.

In 1988, the Company built the South Asia Building at 108 How Ming Street, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, as the Company headquarters. It is an 18-storey high building with a total area of 110, 000 square metres. Moreover, in 2003 the Company expanded the capacity and purchased a neighbouring 13-storey industrial building. The building was then renamed as South Asia Industrial Centre, which suitably providing ample space to meet the continued growth of the Company.
In the new millennium, South Asia Holding has consolidated its businesses and followed a pathway of steady growth. The Company is the largest enterprise in Quan Zhou City, Fujian. In 2000 total turnover of the textile business of South Asia was ranked the third among over 3, 800 textile enterprises in Hong Kong and as one of the leaders in the industry.
