TCC Electrodeless Discharge Lamps use the plasma, and magnetic material, free electrons (e-) in EDL are accelerated by microwave field.
-The gas inside the lamp is excited by the magnetic field and turned into plasma. -When the excited atoms of plasma return to the ground state, they radiate UV/VIS light, which is converted into visible light by phosphor coating on inner glass surface in the same manner of fluorescent lamps.
USE:
-Indoor and outdoor lighting
-Locations where are difficult to access with, such as freeways, tunnels, bridges etc.
-Emergency lighting requiring instant (re) strike, such as airport.
-Harzadous areas
