Shenzhen First Mile Communications Limited (FirstMile) is a privately-owned company founded by hi-tech veterans from Nortel, Cisco and JDS-Uniphase in January 2003. We develop and manufacture next generation all-optical access network gears to provide reliable and cost effective solutions for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) markets, and for applications where users are beyond the reach of copper cables.
By leveraging on the Ethernet technologies and our intellectual property portfolio of more than 30 patents, we have developed our Ethernet based point-to-point Active Optical Network (AON) all-optical access platform OnAccess®. This platform enjoys the cost advantage over other access offerings. It also brings the benefits of a network architecture that is simpler, technologically superior and easier to maintain than other current solutions. The platform can offer combined voice, data and CATV services on the single single-mode fiber simultaneously. Our high-density and modularized design can provide cost effective and scalable solutions for applications such as FTTX, optical LAN, Ethernet based DCS and security surveillant system with minimized space.
