IRICO Group Corporation is a state owned company erected and approved by the State Council and one of the 180 state owned backbone companies under the management of the Central Commission of the Enterprises Management. IRICO Group Corporation was established on April 12, 1989 in Xianynag City, Shaanxi Province and approved by the Mechanic and Electronic Ministry, with the former Shaanxi Color Picture Tube Plant as its main body and subordinated with a structure of close, semi-close and loose layers of 15 enterprises and research institutes with inner economic and technical relationship with IRICO.
IRICO is a large enterprise group with the color display devices as its main business and associated with diversified business with more than 20 subsidiaries, holding companies and joint ventures.
IRICO is a group with a total asset of RMB 8.8 billion yuan, employees of 22,400 and main products of color picture tube of 37cm, 54cmFS, 64cm FS, 64cmPF, 74cm PF, 40cm color display tube and 16cm projection tube and an annual production capacity of 10 million pieces of tubes. At the present, IRICO is the biggest production base of color picture tube with the strongest materials and parts self-supplying ability in China. From its foundation to now, 76.04 million pieces of color picture tubes and color display tubes have been produced with an accumulated product sales of RMB 61.6 billion yuan, including RMB 7.88 billion yuan of profit and tax paid and US$ 907 million of export making a remarkable economic and social benefit.
