China has imported the German KraussMaffei GMBH's rotary kiln with vertical - type heater and vertical cooler, Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation's rotary kiln with chain-type grate preheater and promoting grate cooler and American Metso Corporation's rotary kiln with vertical - type heater and vertical cooler. We have built more than 300 rotary kilns with the specifications of 150-10001/4 in China, and the 15 rotary kilns with the specifications of 10001/4 have applied in the industries of metallurgy, calcium carbide, electrolytic aluminum, magnesium. Taking a 6001/(1 rotary lime kiln as an example, it costs RMB 40, 000, 000-45, 000, 000 yuan and the caloric consumption is as low as less than 1150X4.181^/1^, as well as the power consumption is not more than 45kwh/t. The rotary kiln liner can be usually used more than 2years, and when the raw fuel is not good, the lifespan of the calcination zone maybe shorter.

The raw stone is calcined to lime in the process of moving, which will distribute the calorific value evenly and the stable lime quality with CaO≥ 92%, the degree of the activity≥ 380m1 and the high productivity.



Except the disadvantages of larger occupied area, higher energy consumption and the shorter lifespan of the kiln liner, the quality of rotary kiln is the best in all the lime kilns, and many kinds of fuels are available, such as carbide furnace gas, coke oven gas, coal, natural gas, mixed gas, the mixture of the coal gas and the mixture of the coal and gas, which can satisfy the manufacturers for their requirement of cheap energy. Besides, the manufacturers can control the rotary kiln easily because of its simple operation, the clear inner kiln and the ubiquitous operators and management experience of cement in China.
