Founded in May 2002 by Master Tan Xiang Guang, TAN′S BROCADE WORKSHOP nowadays possesses a number of traditional hand-made ′pig cage′ looms and folk craft persons in Binzhou Street, Binyang County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Our workshop is committed in researching and developing traditional Zhuang brocade weaving technique which is the intangible cultural heritage of China. We protect the preservation of the heritage, at the same time, design new products with minority ethnic characters that are made of Zhuang brocade textile.
Vision: Becoming the traditional folk production base of China handicrafts that promotes cultural products.
Principles: Adhere to the principles of ethnic, hand-made and innovative, we strive to promote China Zhuang Brocade and Zhuang minority culture, provide quality traditional and innovative handicrafts.
Products:
Traditional Zhuang Brocade Products like wall hangings, Bags, classic hand-weaving arts and scarfs etc. Other products include bed runners, letter racks, cushions, pillows etc and other small handicrafts like embroidered silk-balls.
We develop Tan′s branded brocade products and other handicrafts, at the same time, make to order as well.
Other Projects:
We are also engaging in some projects like live performance of traditional ′Pig cage′ loom weaving, culture promotion projects, customizing brocade products for organization or individuals etc.
