Product Description
Product DescriptionADEE Board
This topic describes the function, working principles, front panel, and pin assignments of the ADEE board, and provides the specifications of the board.
Overview
The ADEE board is a 64-channel ADSL2+ service board. It supports ADSL2+ over POTS, when working a built-in splitter.
The ADEE board can be installed in slots 0-6 and 9-15 of the MA5600 service shelf, and slots 0-6 of the MA5603.The basic working principles of the ADEE board are as follows:- The control module loads the board software, controls the running of the board, and manages the entire board.
- The power module supplies power to each functional module of the board.
- The clock module provides clock signals for each functional module of the board.
- The splitter in the interface module separates the narrowband and the broadband signals from the ADSL2+ over POTS signals transmitted from the ATU-R. The ADSL2+ signals are forwarded to the ADEE board, and the narrowband signals to the PSTN device through the PSTN port. In the opposite direction, the ADSL2+ signals from the ADEE board and the POTS signals from the PSTN device are combined as the ADSL2+ over POTS signals, and the ADSL2+ over POTS/ADSL2+ signals are transmitted to the ATU-R through the LINE port.
The service is processed as follows:
- In the upstream direction, the interface module converts the ADSL2+ signals into a cell flow, aggregates the flow to the forwarding module, and then reassembles the cell flow into ATM packets. The forwarding module encapsulates the reassembled packets and performs CAR to guarantee subscriber bandwidth. Then, the packets are transmitted to the SCU board through the backplane bus. After the packets are processed by the SCU board, they are transmitted upstream to the upper level device through the optical or electrical port.
- In the downstream direction, the forwarding module re-encapsulates the data from the Ethernet, adapts the data to the ATM connection after performing CAR, and then transmits the data to the interface module. The interface module converts the data into analog signals, and then transmits the analog signals to the subscriber line.
ADLE is a 32-channel ADSL2+ over POTS service board. It has a built-in splitter with 600-ohm impedance and provides the ADSL2+ over POTS access service.
Functions Supports
- 32 channels user ports
- ADSL2+ over POTS access services
- Annex A, Annex L and Annex M transmission modes
- Upstream transmission using the UTOPIA port at a rate of 800 Mbit/s
- Single ended loop testing (SELT)
- Board power-off for energy conservation
The basic working principle of the ADLE board is as follows:
- The splitter module separates the ADSL2+ signals from the POTS signals.
- The interface module isolates signals to meet the requirements for board hot swapping and provides information about board hardware management.
- The control module controls the board software loading and board running, and manages the board.
- The power module powers other function modules of the board.
- The clock module provides the working clock for other function modules of the board.
