Compared with the traditional mechanical gyroscope, the Fibre-optic gyroscope has the advantages of full solid state, no rotating parts and friction parts, long life, large dynamic range, instant start, simple structure, small size and light weight. It can be applied to the application requirements of high-precision inertial navigation systems such as land positioning and orientation, vehicular north finder, airborne heading attitude, and marine gyrocompass.
