The compact packaged PMFS is designed and fabricated to take the place of traditional fused Polarization Maintained Fiber Coupler (PMFC).
Act as a passive optical component, PMFS is used to split the optical power into 2 parts, while keeping the original lightwave polarization states.
PMFS is specifically fabricated for IFOG by taking advantage of Glass Sleeve (GS) Platform and thin film filter technique. The features include wide operating wavelength range with low wavelength dependent loss(WDL), low temperature dependent loss(TDL), and low Polarization dependent Loss(PDL), within large operating temperature range.
By taking the advantage of high reliability, excellent environment suitability and high performance PMFS, the IFOG performance, such as Bias Instability and Repeatability, Angular Random Walk, and Scale Factor Linearity can be improved, especially cooperating with PANWOO PMFS, SLD, and PINFET.
The fiber pigtail can be customized with polarization maintained (PM) fiber, or single-mode polarization maintained (SM/ PM) fiber.
